Indian Buildings Congress (IBC) was founded on 1st September 1992, when a Founders’ Meet was organized in New Delhi on the initiative of the then Director General (Works), CPWD, Shri O.P. Goel. Approximately 250 professionals attended the meeting. IBC was registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, in New Delhi, on 29th March 1993.

IBC currently has more than 108 Institutional Members, 7,500+ Individual Members and 383 Student Members. This diverse membership gives IBC a unique position across the broad spectrum of building engineering and the construction industry.

IBC has its headquarters in New Delhi, with its office located at Sector-VI, Kama Koti Marg, R.K. Puram, New Delhi, India.

IBC encourages the establishment of Local Centres in different towns and cities to promote professional knowledge and expertise through interaction and exchange of ideas among members.

IBC Local Centres are operating in Aizawl, Agartala, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Goa, Guwahati, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Indore, Itanagar, Jaipur, Imphal, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Kota, Kohima, Mumbai, Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Surat, Shillong, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Vijayawada.
